Steward’s Conference Recap: A Strong Showing for UWUA Local 369

April 3, 2026
On Friday, March 27, UWUA Local 369 hosted our Steward’s Conference at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood, MA and the day exceeded expectations.

Stewards from across our local gathered for a full day of training, open discussion, and fellowship. The conference was designed to equip our stewards with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively represent our members on the job, and based on the turnout and the feedback we’ve received, it delivered.

The response from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Members highlighted the quality of the sessions, the opportunity to connect with stewards from other units, and the renewed sense of purpose they took away from the day.

Union stewards serve a critical role in UWUA Local 369. They are fellow members, elected or appointed, who serve as the first point of contact when a coworker has a question, concern, or workplace issue. They enforce the terms of our collective bargaining agreements, represent members in meetings with management, handle grievances, and make sure your rights are upheld every day. Because union officers and business agents can’t be at every worksite, stewards are the union’s presence on the ground,  and investing in their development is one of the most important things we can do as a local.

Thank you to every steward who made the trip to Norwood, to the presenters and organizers who put the day together, and to our members whose support makes events like this possible.
