Tentative Agreement Reached

Your Bargaining Committee is proud to inform our members that we have reached a hard fought tentative agreement with National Grid on a new Contact Center contract. This newly negotiated contract gives protections for both existing members and future members. Such as:

· Three year contract expiring May 11, 2011 - (Same date as field contract)
· Job Security: guarantee that Northboro will operate through the end of the contract.
· General Wage Increase of 9% over the 3 year term – (3% 3% 3%).
· Improved Pension.
· Improved 401k.
· Improved vacation benefit.
· Improved and protected healthcare benefits for all Contact Center members.
· Improved Incentive Bonus.
· Increased Meal premium.
· Wage protections.
· Improved Short Term Disability Benefit.
· Improved Emergency Storm Premium.
· Standing Safety Committee with mandatory meetings.
· Outsourcing protection through guaranteed notification and effects bargaining language.
· Neutrality and card check off language.
· Improvement to attendance instances.

The Bargaining Committee wishes to once again thank the entire membership at the Contact Center, all of Local 369, the Locals of the BUW Council, the Locals of the IBEW and the Locals of the Steel Workers for supporting us in this effort. We could not have achieved this alone. A ratification vote as well as informational meetings will be held in order that the agreement can be explained to the members in its entirety.
