The School of Labor Relations
The School of Labor Relations sponsored by the labor guild will start it's spring term on Monday March 15th and run Monday evenings (7:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.) until May 17th. On the schedule are core courses such as Steward Training, Union Governance and A,B,C's of Arbitration. Long time faculty Paul McCarthy will be offering a new course this term, How to Think and Act Strategically: The Art of Developing Bargaining Leverage, a work shop to help union negotiators maximize their disadvantages and minimize their disadvantages. Another new offering is Tom Iacobucci's Personal Finance and back by popular demand are Snapshots of Labor Relations, lead, Follow or Get out of the Way and Labor Law of Public Sector unions.
