Members and Committees

UWUA Local 369 does much more than negotiate contracts for better wages and benefits. We have a much deeper mission of giving our members a voice, both on the job and off; improving their quality of life; and providing opportunities to make a positive difference in the world. Below is a list of the major committees, functions, and roles that do their part to help us further our mission.

Safety Committee [0]
Our safety committee assesses work procedures, policies, and the work environment to ensure our members are not required to sacrifice their bodies to make a living.

COPE Committee [0]
Politicians make important decisions that affect the economic livelihoods of our members. Our Committee on Political Education (COPE) researches the voting records of politicians and monitors their positions on important issues so our members can make an informed decision in the voting booth.

Activities and Welfare [0]
Our Activities and Welfare Committee gives members an opportunity to socialize and benefit from their larger union family.

Scholarship Committee [0]
UWUA Local 369 recognizes the value of education in today's phenomenally complex world. We've established a scholarship fund to offset the expense of obtaining a college degree and reward those who strive to better themselves.

Veteran's Committee [0]
Our Veteran's Committee has done incredible work for "Operation Family Reunion," the official charity of the Utility Workers of America. Operation Family Rescue is a nationwide effort to provide resources so that families of disabled and ill servicemen and servicewomen can visit them while recuperating at
Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC.
